How much time do I have to remove my personal belongings after selling land?
This will be my first real estate transaction and could really use the advice on how long I have after the property sells to remove my things.
Capital gains implication on buying and selling land/property?
I want to know whether one can buy a property and then sell another land property, and avoid capital gains on the sale of land, or whether the selling has to happen first before the purchase. Also, is land and part constructed property on a land treated the same for this purpose.

My family own a lot of land sized 7000 sq. ft. I need a place to live so I had a few ideas about selling the land to get some money. Here are my questions 1. Can you sell half a plot of land? I was thinking about selling half of the land and keeping half. Can you divide it into 2 plots with 2 deeds or what?2. I've noticed that people advertise land for sell by square foot. Example Land for Sale, $100 per sqaure foot. What does this mean exactly? Do you have to buy the ENTIRE plot or can you buy only as much as you want, hence the price per square feet. Example Could I buy 1000 square ft of land if its advertised as shown above or do I have to buy the whole thing?I'm only 20 years old so forgive my ignorance. I'm just trying to find a suitable living solution. Any other ideas would be welcome.

i've 125 yard land on which i was contructing my house. The locality near by isnt good plus i dun have enough money to put on this house. i do own another house where i'm living at currently and i was thinking of selling my under construction house and buy two houses from the money i get from selling it.But i'm confused as i've spent quite a lot in acquiring the land plus doing construction on it. Besides i dun think i'll ever get a home with land. The house i'm thinking to sell was bought by taking bank loan so some amount will be spent on repaying them. 10 years of loan still pending... I am selling my mothers piece of property for her, and I want to sell it on ebay. I'm going to be starting the bid at 50,000$, that being the bottom price of what she wants for it. My question is, is the 35$ insertion fee the only fee there is? Is it best to list it as the entire price for the bid, or a smaller bid for a down payment and the remainder being paid at signing? When I sell it, do I need to have a closer, or can she close the deal on her own? Is there anything else I need to know about selling land on ebay?
