When do I start searching for housing?
I plan on moving in mid September since my lease doesn't end until then. I'm searching the market right now in order to rent a condo but I feel my efforts are worthless since the market is showing real time availability they probably won't be available in September then . When do I start searching for a condo? How about apartments? I probably have to take wait lists into consideration right?

I'm moving to Wright Patt AFB, OH and searching for housing in Dayton, OH because it's much cheaper comparativily seaking. However, the Dayton high crime rate burglery and theft especially is a huge concern.
