How long does it take for bank to approve a short sale house of around 130,000?
There's a house for sale for 130,000 and someone put an offer and its a short sale. My family and I really want it. How do I know how much the other family put an offer to it. Do you think the bank will approve their offer? How long does it take? And if it takes long.for bank to get back at them does it mean they denied their offer? What are some hints that I know they denied their offer? Ps I know its a lot of questions but I'm a first time buyer so please answere my questions and please don't be rude

I am interested in a short sale that is listed for $67,000. The market value currently is between $72,000 and $78,000. not sure...I am waiting on comps from realtor It sold for $203,000 in 2007 but the market value in the Village has decreased dramatically and there are no houses in the vicinity over $80,000.I am wondering if I offer over market value for the house will it increase my chances of getting approval on the short sale? I was thinking about offering $80,000 to $85,000.Thanks

What happens after bank accepts offer on short sale house?
It's cash so we don't have to mess with financing...we have already done the whole proof of funds stuff.How does a bank decline an offer after accepting it and drawing up a contract? A signed contract is binding at least during the time frame it allots.
Can you sell a short sale house if you filed bankruptcy?
I'm trying to buy my first house. The owner is ready to sign my offer and move forward but he just recently filed bankruptcy. So now I have to wait for him to talk to his lawyer to see if he can still sell it. Do you think he can still sell it or what will happen? Thank you
Will we get this short sale house?
Both parties are firm, and there is just under $10,000 between us. We can not accept the bank's offer but were told we can keep our offer in and look for another house. We are the only good offer there was only ever one offer before ours and it was not even considered as it was so low. We have been told there has not been a lot of interest in the house otherwise. Also since the house is under agreement with us, especially nobody else is looking at it. We were told we should keep our earnest money in to hold that " under agreement" spot and that the bank may come back and accept our offer, which would be good as we don't know how soon we will find another house, etc. What do you think? We are very confident about our offer price. But all things considered, could we be lucky and have them come back to us?Also, for what it's worth, this is after a couple counters from both sides.

Does it take 3 months or much longer.The bank has accepted the offer and they said Dec 31st as closing then changed it Jan 23rd and now Feb 15th. I offered 13 % less then the asking price which I was told by my agent the bank had been previously approved. I hadn't heard that the bank had accepted my offer, but does this mean the bank has accepted my offer, or does the listing agent think they will? Does it mean that someone else made a higher offer? But it's short sale, and my remember my father saying never to buy a short sale. I was wondering why? What's wrong with buying short sales and bank owned homes?
