its an odd question, but if there was a house that no one lived in, wasn't on the market and was due to be demolished and re built in the future, would they let you rent it for something like a party or school project involving a large house? Since its going to get destroyed, wouldn't matter entirely if the house got messy? PShould have specified, it's not being demolished for danger purposes but for real estate purposes, so being rebuilt or something

im currently living in an apt and been on hud for years, there is a new program that they are starting like they send u the voucher to u for your rent and u cover whatever is left on your rent, i was just wondering if anyone know anything about taking the hud vouchers to rent a house instead of another apt.... i've look for info online but really doesnt tell me anything about it since they are starting in AUGUST to be sending vouchers to my address.i thought HUD is only for apts ...im currently on HUD for apts only, so whats the difference between hud and section 8? i thought hud are only for apts and section 8 is for both houses and apts.

I have bad credit and am trying to rent a house?
I was upfront with the landlord, and provided a copy of my credit report. He also pulled one of his own. I have given him 18 months of cancelled rent checks always on time , and we had always discussed a 12 month lease. He sent me the lease drafts and it's only for 6 months. When I asked him why, he said he wants to start with a 6 month lease due to my credit. I have never paid my rent late, and have always taken care of my rental home it's not MINE, but I live there , but my current landlord wouldn't verify anything other than dates of occupancy to my prospective landlord liability issues? He is also renting the house to us below market rent. It's in really good shape, but we'll be doing the yard work snow removal therefore the discount . I believe this is his only rental property. We agreed on a security deposit higher than our rent will be, but lower than what he normally requires when the rent figure was higher Is this a reasonable request? I've always rented from big management companies, and 12 months was the minimum. I am nervous, because every time I've ever had a lease renewal in the past, my rent went up with the big apartment management companies , and this is the first time I've rented from a private landlord. We can't afford a huge rent increase that's why we are moving , and I'm terrified he'll come back in 6 months and raise the rent super high, and we'll be house hunting, in MN, in the winter.I can understand higher deposits for bad credit tenants, but is it normal to ask for a shorter lease term " to start" ? He seems like a very nice guy, and this house is not your typical " barely maintained" rental home....but I also dont' want to be put in the position of moving mid winter, with a kid.Other details I've haven't had " great" credit in awhile, but I've never had to pay a deposit either with big management companies , but I fully expected one with a private landlord and we'll be paying it before we get the keys, all of it . But then again, the big management companies don't seem to care about KEEPING tenants, our rent at renewal would have gone up almost 30 % our current place....we can't afford that, so we're moving. Are private landlords any different?

me, my boyfriend of 4 years, and his best friend since highschool are ready to get a place together. we are 19, 20, and 21. It will be me and my boyfriends first place, the best friend has rented an apartment for a year at one period in time. we need to get a house because my dog barks all day long when no one is home and an apartment is not an option. what are the requirements of renting a house? we all have jobs but my boyfriend has been at his for a year but me and the best friend just transfered to new jobs. this seems really complicated and i just want to know what all we have to do what we have to have prepared
