Is starting a real estate sales career a really bad idea now?
I'm in this weird place in my life where I can't afford to finish school because I don't make enough money. I have a ton of student loan debt from my first three years and a major change to make a dent in before I can even think of going back.I work as an administrative assistant where the pay in this area tops around $15 an hour. I need to make a change and make more money, cause I can't live paycheck to paycheck, or have two jobs, for who knows how long.I was always interested in a real estate sales career but never pursued it for obvious current events and economic reasons. Now I'm thinking maybe I don't have a choice but to start. Is it a bad idea? Or should I continue my schlep for awhile till I figure something else out?

How can I find out about foreclosure real estate sales in New Jersey?
I was told that the foreclosure sale freeze on real estate will be ending soon in New Jersey. Do you happen to know when the freeze will be lifted? I did a quick google search but I coul not find the end date. Also, I look at zillow.com and trulia.com, but I get confused about homes in foreclosure. I don't usually see a list base price for the properties subject to foreclosure, and it looks like you have to pay a fee based website foreclosure.com??? in order to get more information about the property. Do you know an efficient way for me to find out more about properties in the area that are subject to a foreclosure sale? Thank you for your help.
My first job as a real estate sales associate -- should I be working for an active broker?
I live in Florida, and just got my state license to be a real estate sales associate. I passed the state exam. I am considering several offers. Everyone who I have interviewed with wants to hire me since I have many connections here and have sold for a living before. It is all commission there really aren't jobs that pay you a salary here. I am considering an offer from Keller Williams. The split is 70 100 after $20,000. However, the owner of the office it is a large office is also active in selling listings. I have been told by others to avoid this like a plaque. For one thing, any call that comes in there is not really anything like " floor duty" there will go directly to him. However, he does have a team leader who does not sell and would help me with things like contracts and advice as I get started. Can I please get some opinions from real estate people on what my best course of action would be?I am consiPlease note When I say active broker, I mean a broker who is also buying and selling listings not someone who is registered with FREC.
What is real estate sales volume?
I'm trying to understand what is real estate sales volume as it's denoted in $Dollar value. Does it mean the value of homes that were sold? For example, House 1 and House 2 sold for $500K each, then the sales volume would be $1MILLION?Therefore, it gives a general estimate sort of speak if we divide volume homes sold? What is it used for, its' not much in the media, but when I read about it, it comes up.How about median sale price?

Cause of jump in real estate sales in the Pittsburgh area?
I have been looking for a house in the Pittsburgh PA for the last couple months. Its my first house so I am taking my time to get a feel for the what I want and the whole process. In the last couple weeks the weather has gone from snowy to 60 degrees and sunny. I have noticed a lot more houses listed and a lot selling very fast 2 3 weeks after they are listed Will the market continue this way in the future or is it just a function of the weather warming up and people getting outside to look at houses?

How to get out of real estate sale I was pressured and forced into?
A few months ago I listed my house on the market after being pressured by a local, unscrupulous real estate agent, who was only after a commission. I signed a Purchase and Sales Agreement, and went to the closing. During the closing, I realized the mistake I was making. I have too many memories of my home. So I just tore up the papers and stormed out. I understand that this may be an inconvenience for the buyers so in addition to returning their deposit, I also took $10,000 cash out of my safe deposit box and deposited it into the buyers' account I got the number from the deposit chec . Now they are trying to sue me for " specific performance" . Plus, they won't return the $10,000. I went to the bank, and they won't return the money I deposited into the buyers account. I absolutely refuse to give them my home, no matter what. I don't know how anyone could be so cruel and heartless. Can a judge really make me sell my home. I know the legal basis of what they are asking, but realistically, would a judge force someone out of their home? What rights to I have? Should I try depositing more cash into the buyers' account? I am also considering legal action against the bank as they won't return the money I deposited.
