Do large apartment real estate companies have scholarships for Senior citizens or people in need?
I ask because my parents who are both senior citizens are in a tough situation. To sum it up quickly, they lost most of there 401k, had to sell there home to pay off debts before they hit 65 when all they would have would be Social Security. They make just enough to not be considered " poverty" so they don't qualify for a lot of extra assistance. Most of the money they get from SS goes to medical expenses and rent. They have moved 2 times to 2 different apartments, each time going smaller and smaller. They worked extremely hard there whole lives only to be barely surviving. They are in an apartment now that they truly enjoy and that has easy access to there Dr's and shopping area's. My father is an amputee and my mother is almost disabled. They pay rent always on time, never late. They are loved by neighbors and are perfect tenants. My question is do large apartment real estate companies provide any kind of scholarship or sliding scale fee or people in need. They are willing to move within the community to a smaller place but the complex isn't being flexible at all. They are having to move to an extremely smaller place, one which doesn't provide easy access for the disabled. Look, I'm reaching out..to see if anyone has experience in this type of situation. I'm desperate to help them out, but I don't have the money to pay part of there rent. I have to think that these multi million dollar companies can spare a few hundred dollars from a well respected couple who has done the right thing all there lives and just needs a break. My mom has a house rented out, it's already got people living in it. The problem is that the company or agent or whatever never sends us the rent money on time, for three years, forcing her to go to the office and get it herself each time even though she's filled out the forms that allow them to directly deposit the money into the bank. In fact they've made her refill out the forms to do that nearly half the time she goes there. They keep saying they'll deposit the money regularly at a certain date, but that date always passes and when she tells them that they change the date they say they'll deposit it and the next month that date will pass and it repeats like that. She's Korean and doesn't speak English very well, so she hates that she has to go there personally to talk to people she has trouble understanding for something that should've been simple and should've been solved multiple times over.She wants to switch to a small business real estate agency she had before switching to this one on a recommendation from a friend and I was wondering if that was possible and if not what should we do?

When purchasing my home the real estate agency took care of all of the loan and insurance info. When I attempted to change insurance carriers I found that a lot of them won't insure my home because they say it was built in the late 1800's instead of the 1900's which was on my paperwork.
