(for real estate brokers/agents) how long did it or does it usually take to sell property?
I live in NY. what's the average time in selling a house? what's the commission like? what is the difference between a broker and an agent?I'm new to this and want to get started soon
What are real estate brokers commisions based on? in general?
Are they based on the amount of time it takes from the time the banks owns till the sale to an actually person ? etc etc any info will be great......Donkey Punch well usually am much too elaborate as to the details of my question and answers but I tried it to be simple and have misdirected my person use of information that I revieved so let me try again....I am a tenant renting a house that was sold back to the bank, the bank has told me that a broker is handling or " representing" the house and I feel that broker is being vague and or not answering or changing the subject or saying I'll call you back I gotto check with the bank or stonewalling me, and to me as a hired agent that is getting paid what I assume is some compensation for the sale of the home from the bank for handling this property she should have direct knowledge of very important direct questions that I have asked, e.g I do know my rights are to reside here due to a law that past in 2009 that I have 90 days before eviction precedings. so my question to her was simple and VERY important " what is the final move out date before eviction procedi

I'm licensed in California.I'm clear from the DRE website that being a member of the bar exempts me from the experience requirement. But would also like to know if this exempts me from the education requirement.Also, do I have to take the salesperson exam before the broker exam? Do I have to commit a certain amount of hours to working at a real estate broker when i get my license?
I am going for my real estate license in New York and I am a college student in my last semester. Once i get sponsored by a broker do I have to commit a certain amount of hours to working there? Will they expect me there at least 30 40 hours a week? Or can I work at my own schedule. I am wondering because if it starts to interfere with any of my classes i can cut down my hours.

its been about a month trying to evict real estate broker from house that he is squatting trespassing at. Its been very frustrating, he finally got served and then replied back to the courts with a demurrer request. What shall we do if the real estate broker will not cancel our listing agreement?
We had agent for 3 months to sell our house in short sale. But we found that he is not honest and took Advantage of our trust and we felt that he is tricking us but in very smart way so his broker doesn't see that his agent did any thing wrong when we complained. What would you say a person's specific official job job title is when they state their job and job details as " Real estate broker. I get my clients out of properties they can no longer afford for free, and the banks pay me to do it. I work maybe 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. 5 10k a week." Also, when he further states the following, what are " short sales" ? " Yes. I have $240k in receivables right now for 2012, and that assumes I will get zero new listings for the rest of the year. So, probably 300 400k this year. Short sales are where it's at right now." No, it was on a jobs messageboard a long time ago by a member who had 5,000 posts. I just saved the text and just now discovered it. I don't have a link or anything.
How do I obtain a real estate broker license ?
I am currently going to college studying marketing. I would love to have a real estate license. I live in New York long island. I heard about Coldewell banker and I see they offer courses. If it's for my fueture then money is never an issue but I was wondering how many hours are classes and how much they go for. Is the exam hard and if I do fail can I retake the exam or I need to start the course over again. I heard the market is getting better. I want something to work on while in school. is it a good field?
