Question for real estate agents?
We've been working for months with an amazingly helpful realtor. She has shown us a ton of houses and talked us out of several overpriced ones. We only moved to the area last year and knew nothing about the area. We came from a place with much higher real estate prices, so everything seemed like a good deal. She's spent countless hours putting together research. When we had major troubles with our rental property management, she voluntarily stepped in for us. Not once did I feel that she's putting real pressure on us but rather genuinely wanting us to get a good house at a fair price. We were set to buy a custom built home in a development, a transaction that puts more work on her but gives her less commission than some houses she talked us out of. Unfortunately, things unexpectedly went wrong in terms of jobs, and we can no longer buy. We may have to relocate to somewhere my husband can find a job. This realtor deserves something for all she's done. I've referred her two people, but I don't know that many people, as we've only been in the area for a year, and all my co workers already own homes. I've written a glowing review, but so many agents have glowing reviews, and I'm sure most of them are not as extraordinary as her. We'd like to compensate her in some way. If we give her $1000, is she allowed to accept it, and can we be sure that she'll get it all rather than splitting it with her broker? What if it's in the form of gift cards rather than cash? What if it's in the form of a very nice non cash gift? The state is Alabama.Thank you We definitely want to give her something, so answers that it doesn't matter are unhelpful. We also want to make sure she gets it all rather than splitting with her broker.
Hi, I would like to know more on how to go about on becoming a real estate agent?
I am 19 and I just finished my freshman year at a private university in Philadelphia. I live in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania and I am taking online classes to sit for the real estate licensing exam. I wanted to know if there are any fees when I start working and what offices would be good to work for? Any information that you would have to provide would be very helpful Thanks I am already involved in classes. I would like to know fees while I'm working and information along those lines. And what real estate offices that are good to work for.
What do I need to know about getting a referred real estate agent to help me buy a particular house?
Ok I am interested in a house. The listing agent already showed us the house and we are ready to make an offer. We are not actively seeking a house but figured we'd see if we can get this one. A neighbor that I used to live next to, his wife is a real estate agent. I would like to use her from this point forward to submit our offer and so on. Is there anything I need to know before calling her, as far as not getting screwed? Do I need to sign anything with her? Anything I should be aware of? We are not sure what to watch out for. We were even going to submit an offer ourselves and if accepted, we were going to hire an attorney to help with the rest, or should we get an agent first to submit it. We are stuck on this issue, please help. I heard some buyer agents may be working for the seller as well and to watch out. We lived next to them years back and her husband was a friend of the family, but people change when it comes to money and we want to protect ourselves. Please help, thanks.

Authorization paper with a real estate agent a few years ago?
Hi,I signed an authorization paper with a real estate agent a few years ago. She was helping me to find an house but it didn't work out. I don't remember the detail on that letter. I find another agent to look for apartment now. Can the previous agent still claim that she is the only authorize agent? Is there such letter that allow an agent to be the sole agent for the lifetime of me? Thank you

What classes do I need to take to become a real estate agent?
I just graduated high school. Im going to go to community college first, and I wanted to do real estate for now. I was wondering what I need to do and how long it will take to become an agent? I want to do this to make money while I continue with school to become an architect.. is that a good idea?Thank you I'd be doing R.E in California by the way.It doesn't matter that I'd be out of the field in 5 years either way because I'm going to study architecture,& I have many family members that make more than enough money in the business.
What comes with working as a Real Estate Agent?
I'm thinking about getting into real estate. I'd like to know the process of becoming a real estate agent, what you need for certain to be able to apply.I'd also like to know what you get taught trained to do and how much commission money you would make for an average sale. do you only get paid for every sale or do you get paid for going to work? if so, how often?one last question, is it a grueling job? to the point where you cant stand it? or is it a nice job with a few challenges here and there?thank you so much for your answers
