When is the seller required to de-list MLS real estate?
We have had a signed sales agreement on a property for two weeks, deposited an earnest deposit, took care of the home inspection and appraisals and noticed today that the MLS listing is still active. No mention that the property is under contract.The seller informed us this week to our surprise that there was another offer on the house, which obviously came after our agreement and as a result of the failure of the seller's agent to de list the property. When is the seller required to de list the property from the public MLS?Public MLS meaning realtor.com. This new offer if real or not drives us a little bit in a pickle, because now the seller refuses to fix all the problems based on the new offer that have been found to satisfy the township inspector, which are approx. $5000.According to my realtor, the lockbox has to be removed and the property is not to be shown to other interested parties once the property comes 'under contract'. None of this has happened since.
