Help i need advice on how to buy a house?
I am 24 years old going to school and currently working. And i notice that i don't have enough money to buy a house. I'm looking for a house under 11,000 can anybody give me some pointers. I am very new at this.
In very simple terms, can somebody explain to me how to buy a house?
Let's say there's a house that sells for 400k and you want to buy it. You contact the broker and how does the process go from there?1 How much is a down payment usually? Does it differ or was it lower a few years back?2 Mortgage rates seem to be around 4 %. Does that rate depend on your credit score or is that the rate anyone gets once they're accepted?3 Where do you go for those mortgages banks, mortgage lender ?4 How do you make sure you pick the right lender is there a comparison portal etc. ?5 Does the real estate agent advice you on how to finance the house or where to go?Thanks

Wondering how to buy a house I rent...?
The person who owns my house is having to re finance it because it's that time. He currently pays $1100, but it'll change once it's re financed. He's wanting me to buy it and I want too but I lack credit to out right go to his bank and get a loan for it. I'm wondering how the best way to go about legally me taking over his mortgage payments would be, and if I can also get it re evaluated? Cause $1100 a month for this house is quite high for it's current value. I'd imagine a mortgage would probably only play it approx. 550 before interest.Thanks for any suggestions.Edit most owners who own more then one house can't keep up with both mortgages, especially if they let the house deteriorate such as this owner did, they have to rent it out for less. Thus the mortgage is higher then the income, thus it becomes a money loss. Plus the fact that it's a downed economy, selling the house isn't a good option.I am also able to afford the $1100 a month, but I'd prefer for it to be re evaluated prior.
