Upstate New York. Where can I find homes and houses for auction or sale for cheap prices like $0-$1000?
I'm looking to get into a program to purchase houses for cheap. Where can I find auctions in my loacl area??? I'm in upstate new york, western new york. Please HelpI'm looking for fixer uppers, people here in my town get these all the time. I just dont know where to find any auctions. Most houses are in the urban areas " ghetto" . I' looking for houses that can be fixed up.

How do I go about finding houses for auction?
I know that in the UK, there are repossessions and such where the houses are sold off via auction. How would I find out where they are or if there are any in my area? Also, how would I go about bidding? Is it difficult to do this? Would I need a loan mortgage in place before bidding? Please answer all these parts of the question and tell me any other information you know. Thankyou.

nice neighborhood. builder is auctioning multiple properties. i believe is in trouble financially because no houses are selling now.
What do you think about this House for auction?
I went to visit a home on the auction block listed under estate sale sheriff auction. It had a long drive way and TONS of no Trespassing signs. EVERY window and door had one. It was nice. Walking around I saw a carpet cleaner on the floor of the living room and that was about it.. I spoke to a neighbor, no mention of what I found on google. He asked most of the questions, seemed curious about what the price was. Driving away I googled the names as the deceased because they didn't sound like old people names. Murder suicide at that address... The man shot the woman while she slept.. walked into the living room and shot himself in the head... it didn't kill him.. He walked to the kitchen and then laid down on the floor next to his wife's bed and died.... 1 day later bodies where found..Is it common practice to auction off homes that have massive blood stains? Is that why it wasn't even tried to be sold with a Realtor? The murder was in 09, it is 2012, why would it take so long to go up?Note you cant enter a house in our state before you bid.... House for auction...?
My parents bid on a house for auction online and it has 3.5 hours left on it. I've seen the house listed for 179K on other websites but this auctions minimum bid was 85K. My parents bid 86K but the reserve has not been met. Could we still get the house? What are the chances of our bid being accepted?
