How come people are buying homes in the Boston area?
For a while I was seeing a lot of homes, condos for sale but no one buying. But since late last year I notice they are being sold and not sure why since there isn't any job growth in the area and the people selling their homes are leaving for other parts of the country because of the lack of work or retiring.Even in dumpy areas and bad areas, homes are being sold. Even a condo with no parking was sold. What am I missing?
Rebuilding abandoned homes?
Anyone know of any good articles or blogs that are dedicated to abandoned homes or buildings being renovated?
How come some smaller homes cost much more than some larger ones?
Do CNA's work at nursing homes 100% or can they still work at hospitals?
Hello. I'm going to enroll myself at a CNA program this summer while I finish my bachelor's degree program. I really really want to work in a hospital setting but, I do know most CNA's work at nursing homes. Do you think I have a shot working at a hospital? Should I give it a try or just apply at nursing homes? Thanks
Why would anyone buy a mobile home when they could buy a house instead?
There are tons of cheap mobil manufactured homes for sale. I just don't understand why anyone would buy one. Does anyone know? Don't they just depreciate in value like cars?
What kind of updates to your home actually increase the value?
We are planning on reselling our home in a few years and we are always doing updates but what kind of updates actually help raise your homes value? We don't have a garage and I know that helps a lot.
What is a good website to find foreclosed home listings? Specifically in Virginia?
I'm trying to search foreclosed homes in Virginia, and Google just leads me to ad infested and questionable websites. And they all make me 'register' to be able to view pictures etc. Does anyone know a good online source? Thank you
What steps should i take to change the name on an abandoned home to my name?
The landlord who owned this home has been gone for about 2 1 2yrs, the previous tenant and I hav attempted to locate him to no avail. She has since moved away and has left me with the option of attempting to place the home under my name. I know this home has no mortgage and the property taxes were not paid for last year. I'm a young adult and this oppurtunity seems to good to pass up, so I'm wondering what I should do next. I'm sure I need a lawyer but I don't know what kind.. I need some guidence and advise please. Thank youHeatherok maybe Im sh t out of luck. As far as the owner goes, we've visited his home and no one lives there, visited his other rental properties to find that the other tenants hadn't heard from him in the same amount of time as us and hadnt paid any rent to him 9homes . So a real estate attorney is what i need then, only thing is that i wasnt living there, i wasnt paying any utilities or paying rent. By the time i came into the picture the landlord had vanished. The home is not in great condition and needs a substantial amount of work also... It just seems like a shame, ive tried so hard to take care of that place and would love to call it mine.
