Help finding a home for a sex offender in Tarrant county TX?
My boyfriend is a sex offender, who is not convicted of any crimes, and is half way through his probation not parole . The offense was 7 years ago, and he is in the " after care" treatment in his group therapy. We are having an extremely rough time finding a place to live. When a land lord or leasing agent hears the words " sex offender" they turn us away without thinking twice.I was wondering if there is an agency or group of some sort that would be willing to help find us a place to rent. If you found a home that you loved but there was a small graveyard near the back of the house...?
Here's the situation...We are house hunting and found a home in a great location for a great price with amazing potential. It is on almost an acre however, a short distance from the back of the house there is a small grave yard that previous family members put there. The area has been owned by them for quite some time. It is close enough that you can currently look out of the back door and see them BUT there isn't any privacy fencing up, which we would do.My only concern is resale. If you found a home that you really loved that had a graveyard close to it, but the graveyard was privacy fenced and you couldn't see it, would it deter you from buying? Keeping in mind everything else was updated, nicely taken care of and so on.
