Do real estate agents need to have a 4door car?
I was thinking about buying myself a c5 corvette. I have just gotten my real estate liscense. Could this car work?
Are new real estate agents allowed to take in customer call in leads?
In other words, are new agents allowed to answer the office phone for incoming call leads? or does a secretary answer the phone and transfer to the top selling agents only? How do the phone calls work in a real estate office?
How leniant are real estate agents when buying a house?
We have never purchased a home before so we are unsure how it works? Can you negociate the price?
Question for real estate agents?
We've been working for months with an amazingly helpful realtor. She has shown us a ton of houses and talked us out of several overpriced ones. We only moved to the area last year and knew nothing about the area. We came from a place with much higher real estate prices, so everything seemed like a good deal. She's spent countless hours putting together research. When we had major troubles with our rental property management, she voluntarily stepped in for us. Not once did I feel that she's putting real pressure on us but rather genuinely wanting us to get a good house at a fair price. We were set to buy a custom built home in a development, a transaction that puts more work on her but gives her less commission than some houses she talked us out of. Unfortunately, things unexpectedly went wrong in terms of jobs, and we can no longer buy. We may have to relocate to somewhere my husband can find a job. This realtor deserves something for all she's done. I've referred her two people, but I don't know that many people, as we've only been in the area for a year, and all my co workers already own homes. I've written a glowing review, but so many agents have glowing reviews, and I'm sure most of them are not as extraordinary as her. We'd like to compensate her in some way. If we give her $1000, is she allowed to accept it, and can we be sure that she'll get it all rather than splitting it with her broker? What if it's in the form of gift cards rather than cash? What if it's in the form of a very nice non cash gift? The state is Alabama.Thank you We definitely want to give her something, so answers that it doesn't matter are unhelpful. We also want to make sure she gets it all rather than splitting with her broker.
Do you need to be buying a home to use a real estate agent or can estate agents be helpful with renting homes?
I want to rent a home with specific details but it takes so long to go through all of the rental home sites on the internet, especially when you include Craigslist on that list. Plus it can be difficult contacting all of the different rental contacts for each house and meeting a different person each time. And etc. The whole process is tiring and I don't have that much time. So I was wondering if real estate agents are available or willing to help people look for homes that they can rent instead of buy.And if they can, does anybody know if the cost for hiring an agent to look at rental homes would be more or less expensive than when you hire an agent to help you buy a home? Thanks
Why are real estate agents generally such slime buckets?
They're one step above used car salesmen in my opinion but they think they're on the same level as doctors, engineers, attorneys, etc.
Do estate agents accept people who work through a temp agency?
The job is in another area from where i currently live and is working for a company via a temp agency. I will need to rent an apartment in the locality, but do not know if estate agents will accept people who work through a temp agency. If not, it will not be possible to accept the job as i will have nowhere to live
Landladys getting house valued by two estate agents. Possiable sell? She says she's not going to but it's weir?
Shes saying she just wants to know how much she could get for it but it's like why would you unless you were thinking of selling it? What do you think ?
Silly question about real estate agents?
So the house next door is for sale, and the real estate guy selling it had a open house today and he was really hot and I was just wondering how the whole real estate thing works and will I most likely ever see him again?
How much will real estate agents earn in 5-10 years?
Im 14 so im thinking what career I want to pursue when im older. I've been told the market is shit atm but the woman who was going to sell my family a new house in our old town earned around 7 10 % on each one of her sales. Which is crazy considering she was easily making over 100k yearly due to the ridiculous prices in that town. So what will the pay be like by the time im able to begin selling property? What subjects in high school should I take and what degrees in college should I aim for?
I am a first time buyer and have absolutely no experience with Mortages or estate agents. Please help?

Did my real estate agent commit an ethical violation?
Did my real estate agent commit an ethical violation? We are trying to sell our house. We had someone come to view our home that did not have an agent, so our agent showed them the house. Our agent told us that they requested that she send them comparable houses in the area. I found out that she is now representing them and showing them other houses. The commission that we will have to pay to sell our home is over $10,000. I know that the buyer's agent and the seller's agent split the fee. It appears to me that she has sold us out to pick up a buyer, a clearly easier commission right now. However, she did so by selling us out. If you think about it, If the average income is about $43,000, the average person would have to work 40 hours a week, 5 days a week, for three months to earn that commission. I think that at a minimum, we should be able to expect that for her to EARN that $10,000 she should be doing more than answering the phone when people call, and that she have our interest in mind more so than the commissions of possible buyers by steering them away from my home. What is everyone else's opinion on this?Rick B. So, since I do commercial loans for a living and can do ALL of the back end stuff myself, I should have just paid a MLS listing service and answered the phone myself to save the $10,000? People hire Real Estate agents to sell their home. Are real estate agents really that worthless? I hope that people are not hiring you .
Advice please - Estate agents muck up ?
Ok so here's the problem. Me, my fiance and our 18 month old son are currently living in a privately rented 2 bed house, we have decided to have another baby so will need a bigger house. We went through an estate agents to get this house from start, we was supposed to renew our tenancy is Jan 2012, the estate agents did contact us by letter to ask if we would like to renew and how long for, we sent the letter back saying yes we would like to renew for 2 years. However we contacted the landlord and asked him if he would let us renew without a guarantor, he told us yes but the estate agents wanted it in writing from him. That was the last time we heard from the estate agents and we have not been contacted to go and sign a new contract or even pay the fee for the renewal so technically we are not in a contract right ?We are not legally bound to stay in this house and are within our rights to claim our deposit back in full ?We think we have found a house that we would like to move to and will be contacting our landlord with the news.Im worried that he will get annoyed with us and try to keep our deposit ... where do we stand ?
