How much are real estate agents fees to manage your property when you rent it out?
If I was to move overseas and rent my house out, how much would I expect to pay a real estate agent to manage the property? Eg as a percentage of the weekly rental rate?I forgot to say, this property is in Sydney, Australia.

Is it legal to sell your home cash direct without estate agents fees?

We are looking to see our house in the south-east. How much should we expect to pay in estate agents fees?

When selling your house, do you have to pay estate agents fees if the house is sold to a neighbour?
Neighbours of ours have marketed their house via a local estate agent there is a sign up and adverts on the web and in local media, however, we ourselves would like to put in an offer because we love their house and were looking for a bigger property obviously, being neighbours, we were aware of them wanting to sell before it was marketed, but only recently thought seriously about putting in an offer if our neighbours accept our offer do they still have to pay the estate agents full commision on the sale price?? We have not been through the estate agents ourselves as far as they are aware, they don't know we exist What I am saying is, even though the estate agents are marketing the property if the neighbours accept our offer, the house will have sold regardless of the estate agents involvement.so, even if they took the house off the market today and sold the house to us next week they would still have to pay commission I understand they would still have to pay for the advertising costs etc. Not that t makes any difference to us as buyers but it seems a shame that they would have to pay a percentage of the sale price a pretty penny if the house is sold privately

Do real estate agents fees get deducted before any capital gains liability on home sale?
We believe we are liable for taxes on the sale of our main home as it has risen more than the $500k allowance for a married couple see earlier question . Can we deduct real estate agent fees before calculating the capital gains tax liability?

When buying a house is it legal to pay the estate agents fees to avoid paying the higher rate of stamp duty?

Are real estate agent fees taxable expenses?
We are selling our home in Seattle and relocating to California. If the company agrees to cover our real estate agent fees and sales tax would there be any tax liability for the company or us?

Estate agent fees? (UK)?
We have seen a house we want to buy that was advertised through an estate agents. We made an offer but it was too low and rejected. We still like the house, and it is still on the market but now advertised by a different agent. We were therefore wondering whether we could now approach the sellers direct and if we did whether they would still be liable for estate agent fees? We were hoping to save them this money as an incentive to accept our revised offer.Does anyone know whether we could do the sale privately now? Thanks

I am selling my house. How do I pay real estate agent fees if there is nothing left after the sale?
I am selling my house but will likely just barely get what I owe the bank for it. I am going through an agent because I just do not want to sell it myself, for various reasons that are not important. If I only get what I owe for it and there is nothing left over to pay the agent, Do I need to come up with the cash on my own? It is doubtful I will be able to come up with that much money. Am I just stuck with this house then?adding The house isn't for sale yet, but will be in the upcoming months. The RE agent I am going with knows about my whole situation but I only just know even thought about this. I will talk to her, just wanted to hear what others had to say. Thanks for all the answers. I should have said that I knew about the short sale option and most likely, we will have to go that route. I was just not sure how that would affect the RE fees, if I would still have to come up with it on my own with a short sale or if the bank would take that on. If we cannot sell the house, we will end up foreclosed, I know it and I really don't want that so I obviously do not have extra money. We will be moving into an apartment, not buying another house.

Additional estate agent fee for renewing tenancy agreement?
Our current 1 year tenancy agreement is due to end early next year. I think the estate agent who manages the property on behalf of our landlord wants us to sign a new agreement rather than continue tenancy on a rolling basis. What kind of fee do they normally charge for this is reasonable? Our original tenancy agreement does not specify the level. Also, can we request that we continue on a rolling basis, or does this depend on contract? Thanks.

What is the estate agents fee for selling a house and also what other costs are there when buying and selling?
WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOVED IN BUYING AND SELLING PROPERTY?

Real estate agent fees?
I am considering buying home. we do not have a realtor, but the seller does. The realtor stated he would serve as realtor for both sides, dropping his fee to 4 % of the selling price. Do we have to use a realtor? Can't we buy the home without one? I do not want to pay the commission, as I do not have the money for that

I am wanting to rent. Are these estate agent fees too high?
I am looking to start renting a property. I was told by the estate agent I would need to provide the 1st months rent which is 500, a 500 deposit and a 210 application fee as it is me and my partner moving in , which I was expecting to pay anyway. The estate agent gave me the application forms to fill in and it says on the bottom " Moving in Moving out fee of 100, Contract set up fee of 250 and a service charge of 20" . That's an extra 370 Is it usual for estate agents to charge this? I don't want to have to fork out 1,580 just to rent somewhere for a while I just haven't heard of these extra costs before. Any help?? I knew I had to pay first months rent, bond and application fees but I think the other fees are too high
