Where/How can I buy cheap land to live in the U.S., to live "In the Wild"?
By " In the Wild" , I do not mean a completely isolated property, with no taxes, electric, water, etc....just a remote place, away from large populations, where I won't be botheredI had a kind of epiphany recently...I have always wanted to just get away for a while, 6 months, a year, but I have no problem buying the property...Even when I choose to get back into society, I want to keep the land, cabin that I will build, etc...My original dream destination was Alaska, but I am not seeing small, cheap lots for sale there on the internet...I am hoping, maybe Montana, Wisconsin, Oregon... Anywhere that isn't too hot and has enough natural resources...The most cheap land I have seen is in the southwest, New Mexico, Nevada...Not what I want. I have Googled " Where can I buy one acre cheap in the US" , but all it brings up are large land parcels...I want 1 acre or less, for less than $2,000...Somebody please help...I am going to move somewhere, north of Ohio, in the early spring of 2012.umm, apparently many of you aren't reading it right...I said " I DO NOT mean a completely isolated property, with no taxes, electric, water, etc." I grew up in the country, working on a farm...I am not a city dweller, and have quite a bit of experience in nature, and that's also why I am giving myself 8 months to prepare...but I am not asking if I should do it or not, or if you think it's a good idea...I am asking where to do it...I will not COMPLETELY live off the land, but I want a place where I CAN for the MOST part...I am starting to think Canada maybe.
How do I find cheap land to move a trailer to?
My husband and I have 6 children. We live in a mobile home park in a 3 bedroom trailer. We would like to move to the country and add a trailer to our own. I have a 14 year old who suffered a stroke due to meningitis. I don't work. My husband works at the local hardware store. My kids range from 7 to 18. We are all trying. but no matter what we do something always is breaking. If it's not the house then it's the vehicles. We are looking for someone who has land in the Dewey Bartlesville area who could possibly make a deal with us. They need more land and more room. I am depressed and frustrated. Habitat for Humanities are only doing small family houses. We have a large family and can not get any help. Does anyone know anything we can do? I am native american and we make less than 25,000 a year. I

Best way to buy cheap land in Arkansas?
I am trying to figure out the best way to buy some farmland in Arkansas. At least five acres or more without a house on the property. I know you can buy property that is past due on taxes, but they don't seem to have many land properties for sale.
Where can i buy cheap land?
I'm looking for really cheap land anything under $500 and i don't care how many acres there are. I've been trying to look up some but when i find so called cheap land there's always a multi hundred thousand monthly payment. i want to pay one and final price for a piece of land, i don't care what condition the soil or what kind of growth there is on the land and i don't care about the average weather in the area or anything else that influences the price. i just want the cheapest and smallest place. and it would be great if it was in New Jersey or close to it.
Where could I buy a few acres of the cheapest land in the entire world?
Basically, I was just wondering where it is possible to buy land for under $100 an acre. I would not need to live, visit, use, or access this land. It could be in the middle of a toxic waste dump, a rural desert 500 miles from any civilization, in the middle of Siberia, or WHEREVER. It would not need roads connecting to it, any source of electricity or water, basically, it just needs to be land. It would be preferable if this land was in the U.S I've heard the Dakotas are pretty cheap , but like I said, it could be in the middle of Siberia for all I care.Note Please don't give me some vague reply like " Idk, prob in Alaska or something" . I am looking for a specific city, town, county not country , etc, or a direct link advertising the land. Thanks D
Where is the cheapest land?
Where is the cheapest land to buy with either a nice house or none so I can build my own? I want a lot of land, so I can have a farm. It would mostly be animals, but some plants, just enough for me and my family. I also don't want to be too far from the nearest town. Thanks It doesn't have to be so cheap that the land sticks, just the cheapest that fits all the requirements. And one that already has water and electricity or easy access to it. I like Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, but I don't know if the land is expensive cheap in comparison to other areas. I want it to be in the U.S. but I don't really care what state. And I just want to be relatively close to a town city, not in the middle of no where.
