Are there any catches to buying land?
I just saw a 1.2 acre lot in Colorado go for $450 full price and I was wondering if I was missing anything.
If I am buying land from my mom what do I need to do in order to purchase it from her?
my mother owns two acers of land she lives on the land and is selling half of it to me but she would like to have it all on paper so we can pay seperate taxes and what not.... any info will be helpful thanks

I've got this friend who apparently just bought one metres square worth of land in Scotland. They don't live there and how you can only buy a metres square worth I don't know but now she and her husband reckon they've been given the titles Lord and Lady. Is this right? Sounds fishy to me . I mean everyone in Scotland would be a Lord and Lady then wouldn't they?
Question about buying land/adding a bit to our garden, which is currently open...?
We are in the process of buying a house which is being sold by a comnpany rather than a private seller which is very old has currently has an open plan type rear garden, which is open along with the other gardens, however the other gardens are non existent and 1 has fenced theirs off and the other " house" is a social club so doesn't use the garden as such.We have found from the land registry that our garden is very small in comparison to what we originally thought and that the bit beyond ours is actually owned by a company separate to the one selling our house.How would be go about trying to get purchase this land from this company so that we have the whole stretch of garden, and how much would it cost?The bit we are after is about 4 meters wide and about 20 meters long, so not very big. There is nothing else around that the company owns either it's not like this bit of garden could belong to a different property.Hope that makes sense

Hi there I saw this land for sale. It's 10 acres for 10750. I made an offer of 9500 and they had accepted. They said they would need an offer to purchase document and my 1000 dollar deposit by Tuesday. Now I've never bought property before or anything like that. So I basically got no idea what to watch for. What are some questions that I can ask before I start to hand my money over. Or is there someone I can talk to I live in Winnipeg Manitoba. Please I need help. If this is no scam it sure is one hell of a deal

Need advice on a budget for buying land?
Let's say I was approved for a $400,000 new construction loan and wanted to buy as much land as possible. The house I plan to build would be a one story 3 4 bedroom house with 3 bathrooms. How much should I look to buy land for? Should I use a 50 50 formula where I find land for $200,000 and have the house built for $200,000? I can't find more advice on on how much to put aside for land.
Directors Buying Land 5x market value and has restrictions on it?
Hi Got yet another legal question concerned with directors buying land 5x market value, and has a prohibition on it for commercial buildings company im advising specializes on commercial property and the shareholders are unhappy about it. Ive already talked about notification to the shareholders, and that they can remove directors if they want to, however im a little confused about what else they can possibly do. Ive already discussed the impact this purchase can make on the company and on the shares, however im not sure if i should mention minority protection of shareholders? as im not given any info about the split of shares, the %'s or anything. just says shareholders are unhappy about this purchase. I know directors have duties to exercise judgement, and promote success of the company but it was a bad choice they made, however they genuinely believed it was a good choice which ive spoken about Just wondering if anyone knew of anything extra to talk about? quite stuck on this one Anything would be greatly appreciated, been at this question for 2 hours now
