Do you have to pay VAT when you buy agricultural land for farming?
I want to buy agricultural land?
My grandfather sold his entire land in his village in 1970's and settled in pune. He expired a few years back. Now I wish to buy a piece of agricultural land and wish to do farming. I have visited my native place several times to find out if there is any land still present in his name, but i have realised everything has been sold. I have been told that unless i own a piece of agricultural land which proves that i am a farmer i cannot buy any land. Also have been told that if i buy the land to whom my grandfather has sold, it will solve my problem. Is there any law rule which will protect me in this case. Can anybody pls help me. Thanks in advance.
