Had a bankruptcy 2 yrs ago, can I now get a mortgage to buy a home?
I am now employed for 2 yrs

How do you get a loan to buy a home.?
Ok, so in the economy hype, we got a house at the height of the market and now because of location and the drop we're over 50 % upside down on our house. We've always been good with paying things back, but now things aren't adding up. We need to move and we're looking at a place that is 1 2 of our homes current worth house we're looking at is $175,000 . The catch is we need to pay CASH for the house.Now I'm trying to help " encourage" the move since it would be REALLY, but I don't know HOW. The info I need is how to get a hold of a loan or what ever else for that much money, in CASH. We've always been good with paying things back, but the economy killed us. We're close enough to looking into bankruptcy, but if that happens, then we can't get the house. Buying with cash is the only option. What can we do? I'm only 15, and this move would be beneficial, but I need to prod it along. Moving is important.

Please help!!! Trying to buy a home. Co-signed on a student loan it went into default but was paid back.?
I co signed on a loan for my sister. I already know BAD IDEA it was for 7600. & she let it go into default. As soon as they transferred it to a recovery agency she paid it off. The problem is on my credit the last thing that posted regarding the loan was " claim filed by government" up until that point all the months said ok. She gave me a paper saying the claim was paid. I applied to 3 mortgage companies 2 pre approved me but the 3rd sent it to underwriting and that negative account came up even though it says 0 balance and paid as agreed on the defaulted loan. I was told if I submit a payment receipt that may may help. I think this has to stay on my credit until 2015 but I am trying to purchase a home now as I found one I liked and l already made an agreement with the seller. Why did I get pre approved by the other two but not this place? Please help will this receipt clear me since this has to stay on my credit. what can i do?The lender asked for the receipt and said this would help clear it up, he's not in until monday so I have to wait for his response. This is the sellers lender, the seller asked me to use his lender and he would throw in some extra incentives along with the home. So I decided to go with him but as you said I probably will reference back to the other 2 lenders. I was thinking even though I was pre approved once the real approvals came from the other 2 lenders I may be denied because its on their even though its a zero balance. my credit score is a 702 & I have never been late on anything and have no debt. This angers me guess who I think you misunderstood my question but your response did not answer my question anyway. It went into default but was paid in full 4 years ago. The lender was trying to say it was still in default even though all 3 credit reports showed the balance was 0 and it was paid as agreed in 2008. I think the lender should find another profession he read my report wrong and 2 other lenders have approved me.

Here is a good question. What if for example a person sells their house and buy another one but the other one is $15,000 or $20,000 more than the other one. Will a bank give out a home loan for $20,000 or what is the bare minimum a bank will loan for a home loan? Thanks

Do you need to be buying a home to use a real estate agent or can estate agents be helpful with renting homes?
I want to rent a home with specific details but it takes so long to go through all of the rental home sites on the internet, especially when you include Craigslist on that list. Plus it can be difficult contacting all of the different rental contacts for each house and meeting a different person each time. And etc. The whole process is tiring and I don't have that much time. So I was wondering if real estate agents are available or willing to help people look for homes that they can rent instead of buy.And if they can, does anybody know if the cost for hiring an agent to look at rental homes would be more or less expensive than when you hire an agent to help you buy a home? Buying a home...Issue between wife and me?
We have been shopping for a permanent home for the past couple of weeks. We've both seen houses we both liked but couldn't get because owner accepted offer before we even put in any offer. Now, my wife have seen houses she like... She wants a house that's majority brick and huge. She's chosen a couple of brick houses that i do not like at all. These houses are more than 30 years old older than the both of us , some of the houses are in neighborhoods that i presume are not good neighborhoods...she doesn't seem to care... some of the houses have cracks on the bricks staircase area . She is just attracted to the all over brick looks of the houses but these houses are so squared they look like those house i remember drawing in a book when i was in the kindergarten. On the other hand my kind of house is a brick house with a MODERN look, not more than 10 years old, updated or completely renovated inside. She passionately wants an in ground pool but i do not care about that since that is an avoidable additional expense to maintain the pool. We both like to get a brick home but she doesn't seem to care about the other factors that come with buying a home... So long as it is fully brick and huge mansion looking , she wants it. She get very verbally abusive when i tell her I do not like her choice of houses. Sometimes she gets physical with it as well, but what can a man do? I've told her to be patient to find a house both of us like and she apparently thinks her needs is more important than mine. We have been pre approved and set to choose a house and make offers. The neighborhoods she chooses are known to be somewhat rough. A neighborhood where people have bars on the windows could be said to be unsafe.The problem is that she does not have a good taste on material things... She knows this too. I've told her to relax and i'll find a perfect house she'll not regret to live in.We currently own and live in a home that's in a bad neighborhood and it's always one break in attempt after another Or someone throwing stone through the window of our rental property in same neighborhood. We've spent up to 1000k on the rental house this year to replace broken windows and damaged doors.

I would like to purchase a new home in the next few months. I've managed to save up 15,000 for emergency and repairs on the home. Which is a better choice for buying a home?
Okay so I must say that I have a thing with nice glass condo units but they are expensive to rent and can go for 2000 a month just for a one bedroom in Seattle. I am debating which is a better buy. Condo 1 is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom 667 sqft condo built in 2008 in a very upscale neighborhood called Bellevue selling for 325,000 dollars. Condo 2 is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom 1,218 sqft built in 1980 located in an okay neighborhood in Seattle selling for the same amount. Condo 2 is not as nice as condo 1 but is still casual. With my situation I am gay, so I don't intend to have children and therefore do not need the extra space. I also want to be sole owner of the apartment I do not want to have a joint ownership on property. I really like condo 1 and there is a 2 bedroom in the same building selling for double the price but I am debating to buy it or not because I also need capital to start up my own business plus I feel it will not be economical because I would have to pay more maintainance fees for a 2 bedroom that I don't need plus more property taxes.
