Small business sales tax question?
I run an online business in the state of Florida and have an LLC registered with the state.I know that at the end of the year I'm going to have to report all my income expenses to the IRS but what should I do about sales tax?Do I need to register myself in a certain county and then charge their rate for orders shipped within FL and give them the tax?Does it matter what county I register in?Will the state or IRS require proof that I have dispersed any applicable sales tax?Right now I'm not even charging sales tax to orders shipped within FL so I figure I'll have to pay for those sales out of pocket.I know this is a lot of questions but thanks for the help And I should mention that I've lived in multiple counties since starting the business so it's not clear where to register. Logically I'd pick the county with the lowest fees but I'm not sure if that's an option.
